About LAR's Candles

LAR's Candles stands for Life After Retirement. Several years ago, as I was approaching retirement, I researched a few hobby ideas. The candle making process, using repurposed wine bottles, appealed to me immediately. After several months of trying different cutting methods, (some of which were colossal fails!) it all started coming together. LAR's Candles is a labor of love, much more than a business. I enjoy bringing the calming influence of delicately scented candles into your evenings. 

My candles are made with 100% soy wax using up-cycled wine bottles. You can choose unscented, or several other fragrances including the very popular Vanilla Flowers scent. I take special orders for candles made from wine bottles with memories from meaningful moments for you. Text or send me an email to discuss.
